Welcome to DSM GEODATA : Our Experience

DSM GeoData’s strategy is to work with a number of selected clients worldwide offering them the benefits of quality-led, low cost, flexible production which delivers the product to the specification required and to the agreed schedules. Our aim is to develop mutually beneficial, long term relationships. In some instances, however, our clients are organisations requiring one-off major projects where our expertise and competitive pricing guarantees a successful outcome at an affordable price.

Some recent and current clients include;

United Kingdom
	Ordnance Survey – The British National Mapping Agency DSM GeoData has worked with Ordnance Survey of Great Britain to update the rural maps of the UK using photogrammetric techniques. We were also involved in a large but short term project to migrate the OS national large scale mapping data-set from Landline to MasterMap format. DSM was also accredited by the OS to deliver its Image Layer orthophotography, as part of a consortium led by IGN FI.
	Scottish Natural Heritage DSM has a long history of completing projects for SNH, including creating the Scottish Path Record database in collaboration with IGN FI. Since 2007 DSM has been the sole provider of GIS services to SNH, with multiple projects completed including the capture of SSSI, NVC, geological, habitat and other mapping records.
	The Scottish Executive We have previously worked with the Scottish Executive providing map scanning, customised mapping, laminating and board mounting services.
	Infoterra Ltd \| GEO-Information Services \| Astrium Services DSM provides this large UK and European based data provider with photogrammetric and GIS services through a framework agreement. Numerous projects have been completed for their UK and International projects.
	Geosense Ltd \| Getmapping plc. DSM has provided both Geosense Uk and its subsidiary South African business, with photogrammetric services in support of their program of work delivering imagery data for their involvement with Getmapping plc.

Ireland
	Ordnance Survey Ireland – The Irish National Mapping Agency. DSM GeoData was one of a select group of international contractors mapping Ireland at 1:5,000 scale and providing the information as complex topologically structured data. Subsequently DSM was appointed as the sole contractor to carry out a complete photogrammetric revision and specification update of the dataset, covering nearly 80% of the country.
	Land & Property Services Northern Ireland – OSNI. DSM GeoData was selected to pilot the positional improvement program for LPS/OSNI in the proof of concept stage. Several blocks were successfully completed and a report provided.
France
	IGN FI – A subsidiary of the French National Mapping Agency DSM GeoData was a production partner of IGN FI, working with them, to produce orthophotos of the UK as part of their mapping framework agreement with Ordnance Survey GB. We have also partnered IGN FI in mapping areas of France to the BDTopo specification and in orthophoto mapping in Africa.

Germany

Systemhaus Hemminger GmbH
The company was a production partner of Systemhaus Hemminger GmbH in the building of the information system, recording the as-built electrical network for the city of Berlin. The system was built within the Hemminger PARIS GIS/NTS. DSM was responsible for converting the paper based records, from historical documents numbering in excess of 2 million and which go back over 80 years, and building the database. Some 400 specialist staff were involved in this project.

Canada
	Aerophoto Inc Formerly GroupeALTA, DSM has been providing geospatial services to this Canadian business for a few years, including LiDAR processing and large scale corridor topographic mapping.
	LeadingEdge Geomatics DSM has been providing geospatial services to this Canadian business for a couple of years, including LiDAR processing.
	Metro Vancouver DSM has been awarded a tender to provide a service converting the authority's sewer drawings to a digital format.
	Nature Conservancy of Canada DSM has been awarded a contract to provide a GIS digitising service for scanned paper record maps.

Denmark
	National Survey & Cadastre (KMS) of Denmark DSM has been awarded a couple of contracts to take part in the FOT specification data capture program currently underway in Denmark. This is a high accuracy program of stereo data capture to a complex topographic specification.

Australia
	Geoscience Australia \| National Mapping Agency At the end of 2006 DSM won a place on the supplier panel for the provision of topographic and digital mapping services to the national mapping agency. DSM has completed multiple projects awarded under this multi-year framework agreement and continues to provide the same.
	Northern Territories Government, Darwin. In early 2009, after the successful completion of an earlier project, DSM won a place on the supplier panel for the provision of topographic mapping services to the Department of Lands & Planning of the Northern Territory Government. DSM has completed multiple projects awarded under this multi-year framework agreement and continues to provide the same.
